The classic horror film "Nosferatu," released in 1922, will be back in Indonesian cinemas on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. This film is directed by Robert Eggers, known for his works such as "The Witch" (2015), "The Lighthouse" (2019), and "The Northman" (2022).

In this remake of "Nosferatu," Bill Skarsgard, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, and Willem Dafoe will star as the main cast.

Synopsis of the film Nosferatu (2025)

Set in Europe in the 19th century, "Nosferatu" tells the story of Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult), a property agent assigned to visit Transylvania, Romania. His purpose is to meet a mysterious nobleman, Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgard), who is interested in buying property in Wismar.

Over time, Thomas realizes that Count Orlok is no ordinary man, but a bloodthirsty vampire. Thomas is not alone on his journey to Transylvania, he also brings his wife, Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp). However, Ellen is unaware that she becomes the target of Count Orlok's obsession, who plans to plunge her into eternal darkness.

In the face of terrifying terror, Thomas seeks help from Prof. von Franz (Willem Dafoe) to stop the Nosferatu curse. Through research on ancient texts, they discover that Nosferatu can only be defeated at sunrise.

• Unofficial Adaptation of Dracula: The film "Nosferatu" (1922) is an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula," directed by F.W. Murnau. Copyright issues arose and caused character names and story details to be changed, one of which was the use of the name Count Orlok instead of Dracula to avoid legal charges.

Sinopsis Film Nosferatu (2025)
